Hi. How long is the sealant lasting before needing reapplication? Thanks.
It is impossible to predict when to apply the headlight again. My headlights are still in good shape. About once a month, I typically add extra sealer to the surface. I gave my neighbor access to it since his headlights were beginning to haze up. Furthermore, the process was not at all slowed down by this product.
Would this work in place of the sealant wipes that come with the turtle restoration kit? I ran out of wipes but have plenty of the other 2 bottles.
How well it would function is unknown to me. Comparing this 2-in-1 product to a genuine restoration kit or method. I must admit that I was not particularly impressed. I used it to repair a set of headlights that I had restored with a 3M kit about a year earlier, but I never got around to sealing them.
I’m not planning to use sandpaper. Will this work with just applying the product onto my headlights?
The Turtle wax headlamp cleaner worked excellent for me personally. This product did not require the use of the sandpaper. I use the product following a trip to the car wash. So I clean the headlights first, then I use them as directed. In essence, coat one headlight with the product before the other.

We advise applying this only on taillights and headlamps made of clear plastic.
Can this be used on epoxy resin?

What is the consistency of this product, is it supposed to be a paste? I bought this and it’s like water.
It resembles a thick liquid. It needs to be shaken up. For application, I used an old cotton sock.
Is this supposed to be watery?
The liquid is thin in shape and soupy inside. Before using the bottle, you might need to shake it vigorously.
Given the poor condition of the headlight covers on my wife’s car. I had my doubts that this product would be effective. In reality, before applying this, I was prepared to rework the covers using buffer pads and compound. However, my wife reminded me that I wanted to view the light covers in daylight, even though during the weekend I had planned to do this project. Eventually, I walked outside to check it out on a place while armed with paper towels and the Turtle Wax kit.
END RESULT
I spent 20 to 30 minutes manually restoring both headlight covers, bringing them back nearly to perfection. I am astonished! I’ll give them one more attention in about a week to restore them to 99% of their original condition.
Our estimate for restoration services was roughly $80. Also, it cost about $150 per cover to get a new light cover. This was a brilliant idea from a brilliant husband, and I made sure my wife was aware of it. You might wish to make one pass with a wet cloth and solution on really heavy pitting and discoloration.
I used a dry cloth and solution to clean up when I was done. I can’t remember what Turtle Wax suggests, but that’s what I found to be effective. It was a beautiful experience when I used this product. How wonderfully it worked shocked me to my face.

I must confess that I was startled at how this product worked out. I initially assumed that it was okay to use another substance to give the old, yellow crust a shiny appearance. However, when I looked at my cotton cloth after the first time I did it, it was yellow. I reasoned that we should attempt again and again until no yellowing is removed.
It’s not the original new clean transparent white, but the glass looks incredibly white and shiny in the end. Even though I cleaned the two lenses, there was still so much debris inside the bottle. I had to clean the rear lights as well. This process needs to be repeated at least four more times. And in my opinion, it’s best to clean the lamp with it every three months to maintain good lighting.

The headlights didn’t get much better when I applied some to a rag and started working on them. My plan B involved placing this on a buffing pad and using my cordless drill to polish the headlights. But to my greatest surprise, the headlight’s clarity and brightness improved right away.
Therefore, if the lenses of your headlights are seriously scratched up, you might need something with a bit more “cutting” power. Nevertheless, if you have a drill and buffing pad, use these products instead because they are mild. It will operate with a little patience and will prevent you from being overly pushy and overdoing it while restoring headlights using power equipment.
