Review/Assessment

We will offer you reviews and assessment regarding the Panasonic FlashExpress Toaster Oven and our customers experiences regarding the home product and it’s use.

The Panasonic Flashxpress NB-G110P is not a looker. Some of its physical attributes are odd to say the least. The Fahrenheit-Celcius board, for instance, is a copy-cut of the traditional radio’s AM/FM tuner. I like that touch of retro, but again why Celsius?

There is a preset button for frozen pizza, frozen waffle, quick reheat, bread reheat, toasting and oddly enough one for frozen hash brown. Once I found my way around the interface, I could skip pressing the preset buttons. Instead, I used the up/down arrows to set the temperature and another set of arrows to set the timer.

Panasonic FlashXpress Compact is sturdy, even though it does not come with the sophistication you see in everyday stainless-steel toaster ovens. It is in simplicity where this Panasonic shines. It’s also a big money- and space-saver. But if you are looking for a fancy toaster oven with bells and whistles, you need to try something else.

Important Information on Panasonic FlashExpress Toaster

This oven takes up very little space on a counter, but it’s still large enough to fit four pieces of bread or two slices of leftover pizza.

We think the Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven is best for people who want to use a toaster oven just for toast or other small jobs, like preparing a handful of frozen snacks.

For accomplishing bigger tasks, consider getting one of our other picks, the Cuisinart Chef’s Convection Toaster Oven or the Breville Smart Oven, which hold nine and six pieces of bread, respectively.

Cuisinart Chef’s Convection Toaster Oven (TOB-260N1)

The large Cuisinart Chef’s Convection Toaster Oven (TOB-260N1) has nearly all of the capabilities of a full-size oven.

It delivers even heat to up to nine slices of bread and can easily handle a 13-inch frozen pizza or a whole roast chicken (whereas our other pick, the Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven, can fit only a handful of frozen snacks).

Like the Panasonic, this toaster oven was one of the fastest at preheating to 350 °F in our tests. Since this model is so large (it measures roughly 20½ by 13¼ by 11¼ inches), we recommend it for bigger households that have kitchens with ample countertop space. Although the Cuisinart is not publicised as such, it can also be used to air-fry food.

Hamilton Beach 4 slice Toaster Oven

The Hamilton Beach’s humble size makes it ideal for kitchens with limited counter space, but its oven cavity is still large enough to fit four slices of bread.

This toaster oven runs cooler than other models we tested, so you’ll need to increase the temperature by about 25 degrees when baking or roasting. But we think that’s a forgivable drawback considering the low price.

Breville Smart Oven

The Breville Smart Oven (an 1,800-watt convection toaster that includes the company’s Element IQ technology) is a great medium-size model that’s more bounded than our Cuisinart pick but larger than the Panasonic FlashXpress.

We were excited by its feature to maintain a set temperature better than most of its rivals. It doesn’t toast quite as evenly as the Cuisinart and doesn’t come with a pizza stone, but it bakes cookies and melts cheese well.

And as with the Cuisinart, the Breville’s convection setting allows you to air-fry food (even though the setting isn’t labeled that way). Compared with the Panasonic, the Breville has a more modern, intuitive interface. But it’s also more expensive and lacks an oven light.

Panasonic Air Fry

The Panasonic Air Fry True Convection Steam Oven has a powerful heating element in the back that’s wrapped around a large fan. This allows this oven to heat up quickly and keep the air in the device moving.
There are 18 auto cook settings on this Panasonic True Convection Oven, and its easy-to-fill water tank holds up to 800ml.

It’s a true combination product, with the ability to convection bake on two levels, steam on high (maximum of 30 minutes) or medium (maximum of 60 minutes), and stew. It also air fries foods on its Healthy Fry setting, and has a temperature range of 30-40˚C for fermenting foods and 100-230˚C for baking, steaming, and more.

Where to purchase the Panasonic FlashExpress Toaster

You can purchase the Panasonic FlashExpress Toaster Oven from any online store available in any of location or the following shopping platforms which includes Jumia, Amazon, Ebay, Walmart etc. At a friendly price.

Cleanliness of the Machine

There is a standalone crumb tray and as you’d expect there is a separate slot to do this.

However, it feels anything but premium, as it’s a thin metal tray that slips in and out of the base of the machine and feels anything but premium. But, this thing sells for less than $120, so I won’t quibble too much about this shortcoming.

Importance of Steaming

Steaming is an important method to create soft, moist dishes while keeping intact the originality of each item in the dish. A perfect way to view the steam distinction is to look at essential vegetables.

On a convection bake, veggies will gradually roast and caramelize. On an air fry setting, they’ll crisp up fastly. But on a steam procedure, you can hastily get better results, preserving a crisp bite inside only if you wish.

Similarly, if you desire steaming for dishes that rise as they cook. This steam oven is good for cooking bao and mantou, two option of Chinese steamed buns. It’s best for warming up dim sum dishes. Panasonic advice steaming on “Steam-High” for red meat, root vegetables, and fish, and using “Steam” for buns, shrimp, and chicken breast.

The steam instructions fills the oven with steam for up to three minutes, creating fluffier items that rise.

Air frying (or “Healthy Frying”) is the best method to cut down on the size of oil your family eats. It uses specified less oil than local deep frying, but obtains a similar result.

I grew up, however, on steamed foods. I love that steaming emphasizes the flavour of each ingredient, and the fact that you can steam with no oil (especially in Panasonic’s great, non-stick, dishwasher-safe baking trays) is both handy and healthy.

Customer Reviews

We have received a total of 9000 ratings regarding the Panasonic FlashExpress Toaster, alongside 550 reviews from our customers in relation to the product,

Here are some reviews below.

1: Mrs Lee; It is the best toaster oven I have owned. Has a small footprint and fits beautifully on my countertop. Also, unlike others, toasts both sides of my toast!

2: Grant Han; This is by far the best toaster I have ever used in every respect, it’s simplicity and authenticity is amazing.

3: Courtney L; This is the second one of these I have bought. Was disappointed when the elements quit working on the first unit after 5 years of light use. I bought a Mueller unit as a replacement but found that the knob controls were harder to use than the push button ones on this unit. While the Mueller unit is definitely built more robustly and costs much less not having a rack that slides out when you open the door meant some burnt fingers.

The Mueller’s way to get crumbs out is also not as good as the removable crumb tray in this unit. I would give this unit 5 stars but having used the Mueller unit this unit feels a bit flimsy and there is some play when you touch the various buttons.

4: Chloe Rem; I love it, it’s fast, silent, easy to clean, different options, perfect size.

5: Belinda Z; We use this mostly for toast, and find it well designed, easy to select the degree you want it to toast, and one I can use without having to find my glasses to read the dials. Good looking and compact.

6: Greener; Good toaster, easy to use. Lots of options – can’t wait to try baking cookies. Fries turn out really nice and crispy.

7: Stanford; I will say, though, too, that there are some limitations on how or what you should or shouldn’t cook in this oven that felt a bit limiting to me.

The instructions might make you a bit nervous about things you might want to use it for. I suggest you download the manual to see if it will serve your purposes.
