Joey Cabrera, Motul’s automotive manager, introduced me to this product about six years ago while he was a vendor at the Long Beach Grand Prix Expo. After descending steep gradients, I had a number of extremely harrowing encounters with my pickup truck’s brakes overheating. I used to have the mushy pedal dropping to the floor as the fluid boiled before switching to Motul RBF 600. I have not experienced this reduction of braking pressure after switching to Motul.

Initially ordered as the “5-Pack,” “5”. I believed I would receive the 5,500ml bottles specified in the title description and expanded description since Motul only produces 500ml bottles of this. We got three. reimbursement was given so that a replacement could be corrected. When the replacement item was delivered, there were only 3 inside. What the problem was? Does “500, 300. ml, 5 pack” mean 300ml x 5 in the title description? I’m not sure, but it seems safe to think that if you select option 5, which says 5, and the item photo displays 5, you would receive option 5, not option 3. Even five 500 ml bottles are visible in the image. The manufacturer’s part number also appears elsewhere as a 5-pack, albeit at a higher price.

In my weekend toy/occasional track vehicle, I use this fluid. If you’re not tracking your car, you can get away with waiting a year between fluid flushes, unlike with other racing-specific brake fluids. That makes it, in my opinion, the ideal fluid for a street car. When compared to Bosch DOT 5.1 fluid, I find no disadvantages to using this stuff on the street. I haven’t yet encountered a circumstance in which this fluid limited the effectiveness of my braking.

Having saying that, just stay with prestone if you want a fancy racing fluid to go with your o’reilly brand brakes. Until you upgrade to truly high performance pads like G-loc, Hawk Racing Pads, Carbotech, etc., you won’t profit from high temperature fluids.

The two bottles of Motul RBF 600 brake fluid I ordered. On the bottle, there are two sets of numbers. When I looked at the date, it was written as 21/07/15 on both bottles. Because I couldn’t tell which number represented the real year of the date, I was incredibly perplexed.

I made the decision to phone the motul USA customer support number in an effort to obtain the necessary information. The date is allegedly an expiration date, according to everyone who has received a bottle. I’m then transferred to their technical support by customer service. The initial sequence of numbers, according to a man by the name of Nico, indicates to which batch the number belongs. The following date is the second: (year)/(month)/ (day)
