This is fantastic stuff! With 215k miles on my 2004 Volvo V70R, I used it to substitute the ATF. I was reluctant to accept the reviews that claimed you could notice the difference right away, however they ‘re not kidding. My old fluid, which was no longer that lovely red color and was now brown, was flushed out. I was astounded by how much smoother the shifting was when I first took the car for a drive on the highway. I had no idea it could shift any smoother; it got so much smoother.

Additionally, the car pulls much better and seems to have more power now. Nearly 1,000 miles have passed since I replaced the fluid, and there have been no unpleasant encounters to report. Mobil used this oil extremely well. Additionally, this oil is available here at the lowest price. I had enough of the 12 quarts so that when I flushed out the last quart, the fluid was pure and no longer brown.

I wouldn’t think twice replacing the full components of your autobox with this stuff except your ATF is black and burned.

Forget about purchasing the same fluid from Mopar for $10 per quart.

Visit a Toyota dealership and examine the Type IV. The only difference in the bottle’s appearance is its color.

For ten years, I have purchased Toyota Type IVs from Toyota dealers. The Mobil 3309 was then discovered a year ago. It has the exact same appearance and scent as Toyota fluid.

I personally suggest a mixture of two parts Mobil ATF 3309 and one part Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic for my 2007 Lincoln MKZ. In my 2010 Ford Escape, I use plain Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic, however my 2007 Lincoln MKZ performs better with a blend of Valvoline Maxlife and Mobil ATF 3309. I used Redline D-4 ATF in a few of my cars however didn’t care for it. Despite frequently being described as a Mobil 1 ATF (synthetic), Mobil ATF 3309 is not Mobil 1. In my opinion, Mobil ATF 3309 is preferable to Mobil 1 ATF, however they were designed for different purposes.
