Unabridged: I’m from Texas. Nobody anticipated that it would become chilly that much to use this item. They all agreed and said it. After dutifully transporting this item in my car for many months, my opportunity finally came one day: When I and a group of mechanics on the night duty gather at the parking lot, every piece of glass in our cars is completely covered in a thick film of ice. The brisk morning air was soon filled with groans and the ineffectual smashing of credit cards against ice.

However I would n’t participate in these odd rites, I promise! I quietly made my way to the rear of my car and pulled out the practical AstroAl 27″ Snowbrush. In a matter of seconds, I was seated in my car preparing a Spotify playlist as my colleagues mechanics were watching me through the amazingly clean windows. Each of my coworkers declined my offering to use the AstroAl for factors I have yet to fully understand. Despite my humility, I could not help but smile as I drove past my unfortunate pals and toward the departure gates. I would give the encounter a perfect score.

When Boulder, Colorado, received 2.5 feet of snow, I only recently had the opportunity to use this. It’s wonderful! Snow was simply removed with the brush and any ice was quickly removed with the scraper. How soon it worked stunned me! The fact that the brush bristles were “very harsh” (indeed, avoid using this on your face) did not bother me. Use it on car metal; it didn’t appear too rough for the paint; or use it with the scraper to avoid damaging anything (it glided through the ice astonishingly good without damaging the glass).

Edit: Since purchasing, I’ve had a few opportunities to use this, and it’s fantastic! The other day, we experienced freezing rain, the kind that coats your car and causes the wipers to adhere to the window. When I reached my car and noticed it, I sighed, realizing I would be late for work. The ice was easily scraped away by the scraper! It was so incredible that I had to update my evaluation on this page. This is a great purchase in my opinion, and I’ll be ordering extra to have on hand as backups!

The scraper showed up as promised and on schedule. I adore the bag and how detachable it is. If all I require is a scraper or brush, this is handy. Considering on how it snaps together, the only possible problem I perceive is for those left-handed individuals who are southpaws. When constructed and being used with the brush, the scraper is poisoned inwards if you are left handed and may rub against my arm or coat. You could use the brush by itself right now, however that might not be feasible for you. This is not a concern for me because I appreciate the durable construction and the ample (4 rows) and sturdy brisles of the brush, which give them the appearance of lasting a long time. Finally, the cost was excellent. Generally, if you are a left-handed person, I would highly urge using caution.

The bristles of the snow brush are incredibly stiff and excruciatingly itchy on skin, despite being very light and easily kept in two small pieces. There is no means I will allow this to come in contact with the paint or plastic of my car. It works similarly to the metal wire brushes I use to remove rust off metal.

Funny enough, there is a troubleshooting guide on the packing that reads, “Challenge: brush stiff with ice – Remedy: use this product only in a dry, warm environment”!?!

The good ratings for this product are well-deserved. The scraper’s blade is sturdy and sharp, so it should be some time before ice nicks it and causes it to perform poorly. For extended ranges, the scraper can be used with the robust brush connected, although I find the grip to be more pleasant without it.

The small bag that did come with it is useful for storing both components together and keeping the hand grips, which are pleasant, together. However, I do not put wet objects into the bag after using them; instead, I keep them outside for a while. I have no problem recommending this product.
