Customers review
A customer who bought 25 feet (1 gauge) said:
To begin, TechBuy is where I got my wires from. I am very grateful for the prompt and early delivery of my purchase. Even though I have no aptitude for mechanics. I’ll try to explain the product I got together with the background of why I bought it and the performance. Although my review is somewhat lengthy. I do hope that someone can benefit from my use of this product.
WHY I BOUGHT THE PRODUCT
I own a v8 BMW alongside some other cars. But since 25th March no one is starting or driving this car. Moreover, where I live snow, therefore, I am an overly cautious person. I don’t drive my car until the snow has stopped and all the salt has been washed off the roads. And I don’t drive it regularly because I work during the week. The interior lights were still functional a few weeks ago, but I was unable to start my car. when I had this experience I bought a jump starter worth about 70 to 80 dollars from Costco. But to my greatest surprise, it didn’t work out for me. I will still let you know my reasons for saying this. Last week, when I open the door of my car again, the interior lights did not turn on. Because my battery was entirely dead.
After the previous product didn’t work out I bought a 25 FT, 1-Gauge 800A Energizer-branded. A heavy-duty booster cable to help start my vehicle with a v6 van as it was my next option. I bought this product because I knew it would help jump-start my car from behind.
Additionally, I didn’t want to push my car onto my driveway only to have it get stuck and get wet later this week. These turned out to be an excellent buy considering I only had a one-car garage.
HOW IT TURNED OUT:
The cables I got were brand new. and were coiled up and put into an Energizer carrying bag, along with the copper-clad contacts. I got the one that was 25 feet so it was sufficient to connect my van to my car. However, I will advise you to bring the car you want to use to jump-start your car closer. It will be better so the cable can reach one another. The wires I received had sturdy grips and connections.
After I made the necessary connections, I was patient for 5 mins before starting my vehicle. At first, It didn’t work but I took the same procedure, and it worked after trying to start it for a few seconds. I spent a good hour driving about to fully recharge my battery before my subsequent drive the next day.
WHY I RECOMMEND THESE CABLES:
I suggest these cables because of their length which is from 25 FT to 30 FT. As well as the GAUGE SIZE. I said earlier in my review that I will attempt utilizing one of those portable jump starters from Costco that cost between $70 and $80 to jump-start my car. These cables have a gauge size of 1, compared to the jump starter cables’ gauge size of 10.
Why does the gauge matter? If the gauge number for the jumper cables is high, it signifies that the wires are thinner. This means that it will take more time for the required amount of amperage to pass through the cables to jump-start a vehicle.
Therefore, thicker wires allow for easier and faster transmission of amperage between two connected vehicles. and lower gauge numbers allow for thicker wires. Because I was starting a V8 with a V6, I also require superior wires. I had read that better cables made it simpler to start larger engines in vehicles.
Additionally, according to what I got, the insulation protecting the cables is thick and of great quality.
Note that, the contacts or clamps are constructed of copper-clad aluminum. which facilitates electrical transmission a little better than if it were composed entirely of aluminum. While solid copper clamps would be preferable, they were effective for my truck.
I think these are an excellent pair of cables if you need them for your privately owned car. If it’s required for automobiles with significantly bigger engines, especially commercial engines. As suggested by other reviewers, you should think about buying cables with clamps/contacts made of solid copper instead.
VERDICT:
After various research, I have concluded that this product is of high quality. I’m planning on getting another set of this product so I can get rid of the other 10 gauge product. I advise getting a friend to help you so that everything goes more smoothly if you decide to buy these wires.

These thick cables are great and are fast at bringing dead batteries back to life. The cables and their connection are copper. The cables aren’t as heavy as I had anticipated. Its clamps have a firm grip and are highly powerful and also work well on all batteries. Its clamps are made to prevent two closed clamps from coming into contact electrically. However, this is a great feature because it can prevent sparks and accidental connections on engines.
Although the provided bag is lovely, I’m not sure how long it will hold up. The bag’s translucent section is fairly thin and soft. With these cables, I’m quite pleased. They are excellent. Particularly in parking lots or single-car driveways, 25 feet is highly practical. I was able to save a ton of trouble by using these connections. In other to start my truck from the batteries on my connected Airstream camper.

They have been put to use twice by me, both times on vehicles that I had previously driven. using a good set of cables (6 gauge). A distinction may be seen. Despite having dead batteries, both cars started right away.
It used to take a minute or two for them to charge up before I could start them. As a result of this, I sew a new front on the back. Moreover, the plastic panel split out the first time I used it.

Everyone seems to know at least one person whose car needs to be jump-started once a month. I finally decide to get these in case of an emergency and to have them on hand for when I get the call from someone saying I need my car to be jumped.
These are not your typical jumper cables from Dollar General. They have a gauge of one and 800 amps. The only jumper cables you will need. The clamps are high quality and have a SUPER GRIP. When it comes to covering cables this is the best I have seen. Being 25 feet, they are invaluable! The good news is that you will be able to travel almost everywhere. It also appears that the case containing the cables is quite durable.
Advantages of this product
1 The cable is of high quality
2 The clams are up to standard
3 It is extremely durable
4 It uses 800 AMPs
5 One gauge wire long enough to reach anywhere
6 it comes with cases
. When you can’t get the two vehicles close to one another, the 25-foot length offers more options.
. As a result of the extra-thick 1-gauge wire, the current should still be sufficient to jump the biggest gasoline or diesel engines.
It Remains pliable down to -40 degrees F.
Disadvantages of the product
1 more costly than the others in this area.
2 it’s heavier than most weighing 9.7 pounds.
3 Since it is longer, more storage space is needed.

I have tried to use various battery chargers but they take time to work. But since I came across this one it responds quickly. It is strong and heavy and has made me love the way I jump-start my car. It doesn’t need to be right close to the automobile battery I’m using to jump-start my car. However, if they are close It is good enough.
My car in my garage had a flat battery. But then I brought another to help me jump-start it then it worked. Thanks to this product. The only drawback I know is it’s difficult to squeeze the clamps. but this is because of its heavy duty. The cables are thick but not too heavy for me. It has a storage place also it’s neat and easy to use. The price is normal and it’s worth it.

These booster cables have sturdy alligator clips, are astonishingly flexible for a gauge of this size, and coil back neatly even in temperatures below zero. The efficiency with which these wires transport current caught my attention. My truck battery was underpowered. When I connected my Volkswagen with the engine running, the RPMs decreased. In the past, I had to rev my engine to transfer current.
These wires have low resistance when transferring current. I’ve never paid this much money on booster cables, but I believe it was money well spent. I’m happy with my buy.
Customer questions & answers
Question:
What is copper-clad aluminum? Is it copper or aluminum??
Answer:
The majority of the responses to this subject that have previously been submitted have pointed out the crucial distinctions between conductors made of pure copper and copper-clad aluminum. Particularly the lengthy response from “The Undisclosed.” These jumper cables were created with automotive purposes in mind.
Question:
According to the product details, the delivery weight is 11.4 pounds. Are these cables overly bundled or actually that heavy?
Answer:
Although the package itself only weighs 10.35 lbs, the cables themselves weigh 11.45 lbs in their original box.
Question:
The inner core is it truly 1awg?
Answer:
The Machinery’s Handbook lists No. 1AWG as having a 0.2893 dia. To accurately measure the copper wire diameter, I would have to seriously muck up my new wires.
Nevertheless, after 60 years of working as a tool and die manufacturer, a visual assessment of a double connection at each clamp indicates that it is No. 1AWG.
Question:
I have a cable 25ft. 16gauge is it any good?
Answer:
Joseph, I feel that 16 gauge is a touch light. Think about the typical 14 or 12-gauge residential wiring. Given their extreme durability, these cables ought to perform admirably under pressure.
